Update

In light of recent followers (Hello!), I’ve decided to take a break from reblogging sarcastic and/or nude gifs on my personal blog to tell you what’s new with the band.

What’s new with the band?

First of all, take a look over to the right on our page. Notice the description now says “Two-piece”. That would Ibe because we no longer have a guitarist. Long story short, Yoko broke up the band and Braeden refused to play an important show so he’s now kaput.

What are you doing now without a guitarist?

Well, I (Natalie) have slapped a distortion petal on the bass and turned the treble up, so we’re trying to trick people into not knowing. Laura and I are taking next month off with respect to shows, so that we can rework existing songs and, more importantly, make some new ones. Now that I have to make the tune, and with a distortion petal, we’re a little more…punky than before.

Are you ever going to have a guitarist?

Maybe when it feels right. At the moment, Laura and I are on a power trip since we have more say in what we do, so we’ll see what happens. When anyone gives us sketchy looks when we say we’re just drums and bass I just whisper Death from Above 1979. It’s difficult just because we were getting so much buzz before and now we’re not sure what’ll happen, but at least now we have freedom to make music we love.

If you have any questions that have not been addressed here, our ask box is always open.

Now back to reblogging nude pictures

Artist:
Watershed Hour

Album:
Bend Your Knees

Track:
The Last One

Our song The Last One off of the EP Braeden so endearingly titled “Bend Your Knees”

There is a story behind the title. A valid, non-perverted story. I promise.

You voted and your 2011 Artists Of The Year are Watershed Hour.

The Whitby alternative rock trio of 17 year-olds played their first proper show last September at Broken Arts: Soundtracked 18 and went on to play Broken Arts’ Christmas show, a couple sets with Living Culture, and a show at Rancho Relaxo in Toronto. They also released their debut Bend Your Knees EP this past December.

Thank you, Broken Arts. The trophy is lovely. Our parents were suitably impressed.

We were forbidden from using poles since we were beginners but I think it secretly was because they didn’t have enough. I remember being on the chair lift and watching this blur zoom under us screaming “I can’t stop” only to later realize it was Natalie, to which I yelled back “stop Frenchfrying.” My skiing horror story comes from accidentally going down a double black diamond hill on my first run. Enough said. So I answer with skating because I used to play hockey.”

Natalie: “Tobogganing, but skiing with Laura’s always fun. Also, to add to Laura’s story, we were in Quebec and there were storms and people were speaking in French.”

Ugly Sweater, Santa Hat, or Reindeer Nose:
Braeden: “ugly reindeer hat”

Laura: “I grew up on ugly sweaters.”

Natalie: “I love tacky jumpers.”

What I Want For Christmas:

Also we have new shows coming up. “Acoustic” show on Thursday, and an actual show on Friday the 16th.
